[Source: NME.com] Foals have admitted that the recording sessions for new album 'Total Life Forever' were akin to "the worst thing in the world".

In an interview you can read in full in NME, the band reveal all on the new album, which was release last Friday.

In the interview, keyboardist Edwin Congreave admitted that the band, who decamped to Gothenburg for the sessions, were at times less than confident about how the record would turn out.

"There were points when I thought 'This is the worst thing in the world'", Congreave explained, adding: "I fucking hated some songs, like, 'Why are we doing this song? This is bollocks!' Then as soon as i heard the record was finished i went away and listened to it and thought it was amazing."

Meanwhile, frontman Yannis Philippakis also admitted that "there were people who wanted to leave the recording process" at various points during the sessions.
