Los Angeles five-piece Maroon 5 have announced they’re set to return to the music scene with the release of their highly anticipated third album, Hands All Over.
The “This Love” outfit, led by singer Adam Levine, have teamed up with producer Robert John “Mutt” Lange (AC/DC, Def Leppard, The Cars) for the new disc, which will land in fans’ laps on Friday 17 September.
According to the band, songwriting sessions for their forthcoming longplayer kicked off after Maroon 5 wound up their 2007 touring for previous LP It Won’t Be Soon Before Long. Lange himself approached the Grammy Award-winning band, taking the Californians to his Switzerland recording studio for sessions.
“We didn’t even talk to anyone else,” says Levine. “Mutt is undeniably one of the most successful producers who’s ever lived.”
“Mutt really helped us play to the best of our ability,” continued keyboardist Jesse Carmichael. “And it drove us to be bigger and better than ever.”
With more than 15 million albums sold worldwide thanks to hits like “She Will Be Loved” and “If I Never See Your Face Again”, Maroon 5 have laid down 15 new tracks for Hands All Over, including songs “Out Of Goodbyes”, “Misery”, “Stutter”, “Give A Little More” and “Don’t Know Much About That”.
The album’s first single will go to radio at the end of June.
