Rumours are flying that high octane Los Angeles rockers Guns N’ Roses – led by infamous frontman Axl Rose – will be returning to Australia in December.
According to a new article in today’s Daily Telegraph, the “Welcome To The Jungle” outfit will soon announce dates for a new trek down under, with the band booked in to play Sydney’s ANZ Stadium on Sunday 5 December.
It won’t be a stand alone tour for the band, however – the group are said to be brought to our shores in order to headline the upcoming V8 Supercars event, held at Sydney Olympic Park the same month.
The last time the Gunners were in town was back in 2007, when Rose bought his new-look band to Australia after releasing the long-awaited Chinese Democracy.
The newspaper quotes a source, who revealed, “The Gunners are the No. 1 target and they’ve indicated they are willing to do it. It’s just a matter of getting the contracts signed.”
The band recently announced the appointment of a brand new guitarist, DJ Ashba, who’s replacing former Nine Inch Nails guitarist Robin Finck.
