Rumours are spreading that “Glamorous” singer Fergie – born Stacy Ann Ferguson – is set to quit the group that made her famous, Californian hip-hop/pop collective the Black Eyed Peas.
According to online reports, the 35-year-old singer, who recently appeared with the band in South Africa to perform at the opening ceremony to the 2010 World Cup, is sick and tired of the tension between members of the chart-topping group, particularly leader will.i.am.
Fergie joined the Peas back in 2003, the group later racing up the charts worldwide with hits like “My Humps”, “Boom Boom Pow”, and latest single “Missing You”. Having released her own successful solo LP, The Duchess, back in 2006 (and also hitting the big screen in the musical film Nine), Fergie is reportedly keen to start a family with actor husband Josh Duhamel.
"Things have gotten really bad with will.i.am," a source told RadarOnline. "And it’s not just Fergie who is clashing with him. So is the rest of the band. His ego is out of control."
The Black Eyed Peas are currently in the middle of a worldwide tour for their latest release, The E.N.D (Energy Never Dies).
