Jon Bon Jovi, the lead singer/chief songwriter of New Jersey stadium rockers Bon Jovi – headed down under on their Circle tour in December – is reportedly furious that his substantial musical earnings have failed to see him included in this year’s annual ‘Power List’, by influential business and money magazine Forbes.

The 48-year-old “We Weren’t Born To Follow” singer has previously appeared in the top 100 entertainment earners several times over the past decade – not surprising, since the band has sold over 130 million albums to date, including their latest chart-topper, eleventh studio album The Circle. According to the New York Post, Bon Jovi wasn’t pleased at his achievements not being recognised on the Music Rich List.

“He couldn’t understand why he didn’t make the musicians list since Bon Jovi has been touring nonstop since February,” a source told the newspaper, saying the singer “kicked up a huge fuss and got his people to complain”. A spokesperson for the band says the story isn’t true, Bon Jovi knowing they wouldn’t make the cut after taking an eight month break from touring.

Topping the Music Rich List was Irish four-piece U2, followed by AC/DC, Lady Gaga and Madonna.

Bon Jovi kick of their Australian tour on Wednesday 8 December at Subiaco Oval, Perth, WA.
