[Source: NME.com] A guitar owned by Jimi Hendrix is set to sell for £120,000 (AUS$195,000) at auction.

The rock legend bought the instrument second-hand for £15 ($24) in the mid-1960's.

Hendrix used the guitar to write a number of songs including his version of Bob Dylan's “All Along The Watchtower”, reports DailyRecord.co.uk.

Back in 2008, a 1965 Fender Stratocaster that Hendrix set on fire during a gig at London Astoria in 1967 sold for £280,000 (AUS$455,184).

The auction takes place at Bonhams Of London on Wednesday 15 December. For more information, visit Bonhams.com.
