[Source: NME.com] Judas Priest have said they have no plans to split up, despite preparing for their final world tour.
The band, who announced in December that their 2011 world tour would be their last, have said that they are in fact working on new material.
A post on their website, Judaspriest.com, reads: "The guys are working together on writing new material – all is going really well."
Guitarist Glenn Tipton confirmed in a separate post that preparations for the tour are running smoothly and that the jaunt would not mark the end of the band.
"To put everyone's mind at rest, this is by no means the end of the band," he wrote. "In fact, we are presently writing new material, but we do intend this to be the last major world tour."
No news yet on whether Judas Priest will include Australia in the world tour.
