Lady Gaga calls on fans in Malaysia to be 'liberated'

[Source: NME.com] Lady Gaga has criticised radio chiefs in Malaysia for editing her new single 'Born This Way'.

The singer was speaking in an interview with Google, which you can watch by clicking here. She responded to a question about the removal of lyrics that were labelled by Malaysian radio bosses as 'promoting homosexuality'.

"Well obviously I disagree with it," she said, "otherwise I wouldn't have specifically put those words in the song."

She then encouraged the people of Malaysia to stand up against the decision. "All the young people in Malaysia that want those words to be played on the radio, it is your job and it is your duty as young people to have your voices heard," she said.

She added: "You must do everything that you can if you want to be liberated by your society."

Lady Gaga also spoke of her detest for editing in general. "I can't tell you how many times I get phone calls from TV stations [asking me] to edit out a section of the video," she said. "I just say, 'Well tell them I'm not doing it'."
