Introducing Joss Stone has broken records in America by debuting at number two this week on the Billboard Album Chart. The LP is now the highest new entry by a British female artist in US chart history, selling 118,000 copies in its first week (just 11,000 behind number one act Modest Mouse). Globally, the album has reached the top ten in more than 15 countries… except England, where a debut at number 12 followed by a swift descent to 24. Introducing… features special guests Common and Lauryn Hill, as well as lyrics written by Stone for the first time. "It's the first album that is truly me," she said. "These are my words, and this is who I am as an artist." Joss Stone is touring Australia next week.
