He's already the most successful Australian independent artist of all time, and now
John Butler – the man behind current radio hit "Funky Tonight" – has topped the charts once again. New LP Grand National has rocketed into the ARIA charts at number one after selling more than three times the usual number of albums required for the top spot. And considering Butler releases his albums on his own label, Jarrah Records, the US-born roots singer is earning a healthy percentage of sales. The John Butler Trio will take to stages across the country this weekend, with slots at the East Coast Blues & Roots festival and The Great Escape event over Easter. A national tour will be announced soon.
