​[Source: NME.com] Adele has been named as the most powerful person in the music industry in a new Guardian list. 

The singer, whose album ’21’ has accounted for one in every 10 albums bought in the UK this year, topped the list concucted by the newspaper and put together by a panel of industry experts. 

The X Factor mogul Simon Cowell was named at Number Three. Black Eyed Peas mainman Will.i.am was ranked at Number 11, with Radiohead at Number 14 and Lady Gaga at Number 18. Other high-profile musicians in the list include Damon Albarn at 24, Dizzee Rascal at 28, Jay-Z at 38 and Bruno Mars at 49.
