Jarvis Cocker at Pulp's Primavera comeback: 'This is not about ancient history'

[Source: NME.com] Pulp made an impressive return to the live scene at Primavera Sound in the early hours of this Saturday (May 28) in Barcelona.

Taking to the main San Miguel Stage at the Spanish festival, frontman Jarvis Cocker led the band through a hit-packed set, which included 'Common People', 'Disco 2000' and 'Do You Remember The First Time'.

"This evening is not about ancient history, we are going to make history," said Jarvis to the crowd after the opening number under a blue and pink fluorescent sign which spelt out the band's name.

In front of thousands of eager fans, the Sheffield group paid tribute to the day's protests in the Spanish capital against government cuts by dedicating 'Common People' to them.

Jarvis also ventured into the crowd as a man proposed to his girlfriend before they played the song 'Underwear'.
