He'll join 80s star Gloria Estefan, her husband Emilio Estefan and jazz pianist Andrew Hill, who are also receiving degrees. Berklee spokesman Allen Bush said the musicians were chosen based on achievements in music and contributions to American and international culture. Past recipients of honorary doctorates from Berklee include David Bowie and Aretha Franklin.
