[Source: NME.com] Lily Allen made a surprise appearance onstage with Professor Green at The Stone Roses' second Heaton Park show today (June 30).
The pop sensation confirmed her return to music when she turned up with the Hackney rapper to perform their 2010 single 'Just Be Good To Green'. Their hook up is based on Beats International's 'Dub Be Good To Me', which was itself a reworking of The SOS Band's classic 'Just Be Good To Me'.
After Green played 'I Need You Tonight', Allen swaggered onto the stage wearing an official red printed Stone Roses T-shirt and belted out the tune, to the surprise and delight of the crowd. "Manchester," shouted Green, "make some noise for Lily Allen!" After her cameo guest spot, an elated Green concluded his set with 'Remedy', 'Jungle' and a version of his Emeli Sande collaboration 'Read All About It'.
Right after the show, the singer took to her Twitter feed and joked:
No @professorgreen wasnt swinging a cat around on stage @HEATONPARK that was me trying to sing. loved it , thanks manchester x x x

Speculation about the hook-up had been rife since yesterday, when she tweeted:
Right, so what was the ground like at Heaton park, do I need Wellies ?

After a supposed ‘retirement’ from pop music, Allen recently revealed that she is back in the studio with producer Greg Kurstin. She has not yet decided whether she will release music under her her married name of Lily Cooper.
The Stone Roses' Heaton Park weekender continues today with sets from The Wailers and Beady Eye. The band have just begun playing Oasis songs for the first time, and Liam Gallagher said last year that he would be happy to sell hotdogs if the Roses were ever to reform.
