Hot on the heels of double-disc New Moon (released last week), US company Chronicle Books have announced plans to release a book containing rare images of late singer
Elliott Smith. Compiled by one of Smith's long-time friends, photographer Autumn de Wilde, the book - simply titled Elliott Smith - will contain more than 200 pages of photos, as well as a five-track CD. The disc features the "Miss Misery" singer playing at the Los Angeles club Largo, owned by producer and Smith collaborator Jon Brion. Tracks include "Angeles," "Between The Bars," and "Clementine", as well as two covers: Quasi's "Clouds" and Hank Williams Jr.'s "All My Rowdy Friends Have Settled Down." Smith died of an apparent suicide on October 21, 2003.
