Prince has reportedly snubbed Michael Jackson's offer to join him on tour. The gloved one is said to have asked the purple one to open for him at a series of concerts designed to help revitalise his career. But Prince declined the offer, claiming he already had plans for a tour of his own later in the year. The alleged rejection comes on the heels of a snub from veteran producer Quincy Jones, who turned down the chance to work with Jackson on his forthcoming album. Meanwhile, Jacko has just bought Famous Music LLC from Viacom. It means he now owns tracks like Eminem's "Without Me" and "The Real Slim Shady", as well as rights to songs by Shakira, Beck and Bjork. "This is a milestone event for Sony/ATV Music Publishing," Jackson said in a statement. "The diverse collection of songs in this catalogue range from timeless classics to contemporary hits, and I am pleased to add the acquisition of Famous Music to Sony/ATV."
