"Following weeks of speculation, [we] are set to make an official announcement to the world regarding future plans on Thursday 28 June." That’s the official statement from 19 Entertainment – the management company of one of the biggest pop groups in Britain, the Spice Girls. "Details regarding the announcement will be released in the coming days." Having split in 2001 after selling more than 40 million albums, Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice), Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice), Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice), Emma Bunton (Baby Spice) and Melanie Brown (Scary Spice) are set to reunite following months of speculation. Despite initially telling reporters she wasn’t keen to rekindle friendships, Mel C says she’s changed her mind. "I've always said, ‘I don't want to do it, the past is the past. It was amazing, it was magical. We could never recreate it,'" Chisholm said early in ‘07. "But this year people have been talking about it and some of the girls have expressed an interest in doing it."
