They're renowned for wacky tunes and out-there concerts - not to mention a plethora of genre-skipping albums - and now Pennsylvania duo Ween are set to head into dancefloor territory. Dean (Mickey Melchiondo) and Gene Ween (aka Aaron Freeman) have a new, self-released EP due next month, which sees the pair team with Reinhard "DJ Voodoo" Raith - one of the songwriters/producers behind the Crazy Frog ringtone craze - for one of its tracks. "We were doing the demos for it and Aaron thought it would be good to get a European dance guy to re-do that song," Melchiondo told Billboard this week. "We don't even play any instruments on the EP version." The pair are currently working on their album, which is due out this September. Fans can expect to hear the "LSD version" of the song on the longplayer.
